“Police in the Shirebrook area have been putting the focus on rural crime.

Officers joined forces with Nottinghamshire Police and local gamekeepers to help prevent and target issues affecting the areas including wildlife, diesel thefts and metal thefts.

The operation, which ran during the evening on Monday 3rd June, involved teams carrying out patrols throughout the area and looking for suspicious activity.

During the evening a 20-year-old man from Mansfield was stopped on Rowthorne Lane at Glapwell, and given a formal warning for possession of cannabis.”
