“Police have appointed a new officer to lead the fight against wildlife crime – and he will do the job in his spare time.
Paul Howland is a member of the Special Constabulary and holds the rank of sergeant.
He is based at Market Harborough police station and will deal with issues such as the use of illegal traps, pesticide and poisoning problems and offences on protected sites, or involving endangered species.”
