“Suffolk police were alerted at 8.40am on Thursday by a report that a group of men were hare coursing in a field between the A143 and the road to Barningham.
A 20-year-old and 53-year-old, both of Sittingbourne, Kent, a 19-year-old from Gravesend, Kent, and an 18-year-old from Reigate, Surrey, were taken to Bury St Edmunds Investigation Centre for questioning.
Operation Galileo, an operation by Suffolk police and supported by the National Farmer’s Union (NFU), is currently targeting groups who use the county’s farmlands for hare coursing.”
