41 year old Ngie Chung-Law of India House, Derby appeared at Derby Magistrates Court on 19th March 2018 charged with a total of 15 offences relating to the illegal trade and export of elephant ivory.
The case is the result of a joint investigation involving the National Wildlife Crime Unit, Derbyshire Police and UK Border Force, which culminated in officers executing search warrants at Chung-Law’s home address in November 2016.
Magistrates said the case was not suitable to be heard by them and sent the case to Crown Court, where it will be heard on 16/04/2018.
