At the Badger Trust Groups Meeting held online on Saturday 28th November 2020, Craig Fellowes, the recently appointed Crime and Training Director for the Trust, launched a new video introduced by Mike Dilger, the well known TV Presenter, Natural History Film Maker and Patron of Essex Badger Group, called ‘Stopping Badger Crime’.
‘Stopping Badger Crime’ aims to raise public awareness of crimes against badgers and encourage reporting. Presented by naturalist and broadcaster Mike Dilger, the hard-hitting film reveals the different methods used to persecute badgers, how to recognise the signs, and shows how recording and reporting badger crime helps investigators bring offenders to justice.
The link to the video is shown below but anyone considering viewing the video should be aware that there are a number of disturbing images, which although individually quite short, do nevertheless provide examples of the type of cruelty inflicted on both badgers and dogs and leaves no doubt about the sort of people involved.
