Jeffrey Lendrum even tried to dupe customs officials at Birmingham airport into believing that his stolen contraband was hen eggs from a supermarket and that he had strapped them to his chest as a cure for back pain.
Now, the international egg thief is on the wing again after the authorities in Brazil admitted that they had lost him.
Lendrum, 55, slipped the net after being caught with four albino falcon eggs stolen from Patagonia and jailed for more than four years.
