Rural crime officers have mounted a major anti-poaching push in North Wales using the latest crime prediction techniques.
At the same time they are targeting a sheep rustling gang which has already snatched 100 Beulah ewes from a Cerrigydrudion farm.
Sgt Rob Taylor, of North Wales rural crime team, said another 30 Beulah ewes had been taken from a farm in Betws GG, each with red anchor cross on their backs (ear tag no UK707935).
An attempted theft on a third farm was thwarted.
He said it was clear that people with farming knowledge were active in the area.
