Two deer have been brutally slaughtered and butchered at a park.
The animals were found by Friends of Panshanger Park volunteers who had gathered at the site on Saturday morning to organise the regular walk around the area.
The carcasses had been removed, with just the bloody skeletons and internal organs left behind.
The deer were spotted near the gate at the top of the Thieves Lane car park in Hertford.
Following the discovery, Lafarge Tarmac, which owns the park, and Hertfordshire Constabulary are appealing for members of the public to report poachers in and around the park.
