Two Preston men have been arrested in connection with illegal poaching in Lancashire.
A 46 year old and 50 year old man have been bailed until January after Lancashire Police arrested them, and a 24 year old man from Carnforth, on suspicion of illegally hunting deer.
Wildlife officers have dealt with a number of incidents in Hale, Leighton and Warton in recent weeks.
It is believed a group may be using high powered lamps, dogs and firearms to hunt and shoot deer.
PC Andrew Massingham, of Lancashire Police’s Wildlife team, said: “Wildlife crime and issues such as deer poaching are just as serious as other crimes and it tends to be committed by serious and organised crime groups who profit from the sale of carcasses and venison meat.
