In a bid to combat rural crime in North Lincolnshire officers will be taking part in a number of poaching patrols across the county.
Once a month a number of officers from the Special Constabulary will be going out on patrol in key locations to help reduce offences of rural crime and to catch those people who are illegally poaching.
The days of poaching where a chap would take two rabbits for the family pot have long gone. This is organised criminality and one that can have a detrimental effect on the rural communities and the livelihood of those people who work on the masses of land.”
